Odranoel Polyhistor was a famous artist, engineer, historian and philosopher. Famous areas he pioneered were music, aviation, optics, dissection and origins of species. He did much research on life of the Ancients. Many entitled Odranoel a spawn of Zyr0. During a later period in his life, he also taught some of his theories to privileged students, most notably Aereas of Wentonshyrr, who later became a philosopher in his own right, though not as famous as Odranoel.

Avimot is considered to be his most useful invention used today. He abandoned the unsuccesful foolish attempts to construct a mechanism similiar to wings of birds. This was after long studies into their anatomy, which showed him it's not possible to use wings to carry for humans or large objects because of their relatively big weight compared to light birds. Instead, he concentrated on using the ninth ray to lift objects tied to buoyancy tanks filled with a reflective substance. He used similiar principle for propulsion.

Telescope was discovered by accident when he was making windows for his laboratory. He investigated one of them, distorted after improper cooling and reproduced the error to see distant objects as if they were near, through lenses, that used a principle of concentration of light rays, which, as he had theorized, were necessary for sight.

Firestone is one of controversial "inventions" because he only found that one type of artifact can be used to make fire. Nonetheless, firestones are plentiful even today. Funny we still don't know exactly how they work.

If most famous men in medicine started as medics in war conflicts, Odranoel found his way to medicine through the study of the Ancients. The result was, his inventions seemed to be magic - such as returning sight to the blind and curing cancer.

Odranoel's art is based on his conception of nature. Most notable are his drawings and sketches and his illustrated technical notes with beautiful handwriting could be considered art by itself. Less famous are his paintings and sculptures.

For a part of his life he worked in the royal court as an architect.

Source of his inspiration from what's left from the Ancients. He was the first one to suggest that the civilization of the Ancients was far more advanced than ours both technically and socially, which he also supported by evidence.

He tried to figure out what were ancient objects used for and how they worked. Some speculate that he was initiated for a Lich and thus, given access to the secret of the ancient runes, simply read how to use the artifacts. That would lower the qualities of his genius significantly. This, however, is improbable, because he made only few dozen inventions, while he was known to own thousands of these relics.
