The Ceritans had become a menace to the livelyhood of the kingdom of Arkanros, which had just recently become independent from The Five Kingdoms. Northing Licid had emerged from the bloody battle for independence to meet the threat and insure a future for Arkanros, claiming Cerita and setting up a future war against the Serdians.

[edit] Background

The Five Kingdoms had endured hundreds of years of pain and suffering and civil war, as was not uncommon among that region of the world. The kingdoms did eventually manage to stable out and avoid any conflict for centuries until the arrival of the Ceritans. The rulers of each portion of the lands had become greedy and waited for the fall of Arkanros, weakest of the kingdoms, to the Ceritans. Instead, the ruling body of the government pledged all support to Arkanros and it managed to outlast the Ceritan threat. Angered, the Kings illegally banished Arkanros each one knowingly weakning itself to the insects to grab hold of Arkanros. The Ceritans nearly destroyed the kingdoms with the unintentional help of the Arkanrosians.

Northing Licid, general of the army that had saved Arkanros from the previous Ceritan attack, once again began to fight. With the help of displaced citizens of the now dismayed kingdoms Northing took control of some of the Five Kingdoms land, most of which was now unusable due to the nature of the insects that had conquered them (see Licida and Serdia). They did take over valuable resources that improved the Arkanros economy and helped the war effort.

[edit] Civil War

The Serdians were eating away at the citizens of Licida, Serdia and the wastelands who still referred to themselves as The Five Kingdoms. As a civil war emerged in Arkanros due to unrest, Eastling Licid killed the opposition leader and marched toward Serdia. As he reached Licida the lands were his and the Conquests were over.
